Coverage & Booking

My style & approach

Unobtrusive, relaxed and easy-going. That’s how I want to be remembered after your wedding day. In fact, I want to be barely remembered at all. My goal is to be unnoticed, just a guy with a camera, and not influence your day by dictating times and locations, or by posing and setting up photos. I see my role on the day as a documentary photographer, focusing on real people and real events as they happen, providing you with the faithful, lasting record of your day that you deserve. I want my couples to look back on their day and see the images that I capture as a true reflection of them and the special people that shared the day with them.

Personally, I love classic, Black and White photos, so all couples receive a base set of their images edited in my own B&W style, a timeless record of your special day (Colour images are always available if you would like them)

I actually limit the bookings that I take each year. I do this for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I have a family, and need to make sure that I get a weekend here and there with them. In addition to that, I want to be able to give each client the best possible work I can, in a reasonable timeframe. Each wedding is several days work, with travel, meetings, shooting, editing, photo book and album design. I limit my bookings to allow each clients images to be given the time and attention they deserve.

Booking process

So, you have decided that you are interested in booking me as your photographer. I have a process that I like to follow for each new client.

  1. Initial enquiry. Fill out the booking enquiry form; I will reply within 24 hours if I am available with pricing details.

  2. Pre booking Meeting. Have an in person/ online meeting. This is a must; I will not take a booking until we have at least had a phone call. During this meeting I will answer any questions that you have and explain how the process works. We all need to make sure that we are a good fit before we can lock a booking in. After the meeting, if any of us have concerns about the fit, we should discuss this before moving forward with a booking.

  3. Booking. If we decide to move forward with a booking, I will send you a link to my online client portal. This is where you will enter any additional details about your day, select your personal options, sign a booking contract, and pay the retainer.

Once these steps are complete, I will be locked in for your special day. Over the time between booking and your wedding, I will touch base with you occasionally to check in on details and how the planning is progressing. I will usually try to arrange another face to face catch up as well so that we can chat more about your day. If you have chosen to have a pre-wedding/ engagement photoshoot, we will also start looking to schedule that.
